Avion has assisted the AED systems engineers in developing System Safety Risk Assessments (SSRA), Aviation Safety Advisory Messages (ASAM), and Safety of Flight (SOF) Messages as needed for unqualified parts in the inventory. Avion has played a key role in the qualification and/or removal of hundreds of unqualified CSI from the fleet, reducing Army Aviation flight safety risk. We analyze EIRs and ECPs for logistics, safety and potential readiness impacts, providing input recommendations to AED Systems Engineering. We interface with Structures and Materials, M&O Contractors, and depot maintenance activities regarding process improvements for CSI performance enhancement and mitigation of flight safety risk.
