In support of the Technology Applications Program Office, 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment - Airborne (SOAR (A)), Avion has provided comprehensive Logistics, Acquisition Management, Total Asset Visibility, Software Development, Engineering and System Fielding, and Computer Resources services for development and implementation of a specialized asset visibility and management tracking system that minimizes procurement dollars consumed in contracted repair and spare parts acquisition for flight critical components; serving to reduce O & S costs and the maintenance burden, and improve Mission Readiness. Avion provided support in the areas of system analysis, business process evaluation, user requirements, software development, determination of hardware requirements, programming, interface development to Army systems, test and evaluation, software documentation (IAW MIL-STD-498 Software Development and Documentation), system integration, engineering, logistics, data analysis, web site development and sustainment, Automated Information Systems (AIS), and Automated Identification Technology (AIT) expertise during the development, test and evaluation, preliminary integration, and implementation/fielding and maintenance cycles. Based upon the demonstrated success of this system, this Supply Module has been selected as a key element of the ULLS-A SCP 06 initiative that has been mandated by G-4 for global implementation across all Army Aviation rotorcraft fleets. Under PM-LIS, ULLS-A SCP-06 is currently being fielded to Army Aviation; all 200+ units world-wide are planned for system fielding.
